i live in south ga so according to where you live you can find charts online telling when the average last frost date for your part of the country is then purchase your seed and plant approx 1 to 1 1/2 inches deep place the seeds approx 3 to 4 inches apart in rows approx 2 to 3 feet apart you can dig a trench approx 2 to 3 inches to the side of the seed and place small amountsof fertilizer or even scatter fertilizer between the rows and use a rake to work it into the dirt the peas should come up in approx a week then you simply weed as needed they dont require alot of fertilizer and you dont add nitrigen because peas and beans make there own n when the plants start putting on blooms you purchase a pesticide spray and use a hand sprayer follow the directions on the bottle and mix with water you should spray about once a week every 7 days or so until the peas are ready to be picked then stop spraying for a few days and pick after it has rained to wash off any remaing spray hope this helps also anyone at a feed and seed store that sells seeds should be able to help
