Otto Frederick Rohwedder- he invented sliced bread.
Otto Frederick Rohwedder has been called the father of sliced bread. He worked for many years on developing a bread slicer, starting in 1912.
Egyptians are known to have discovered bread, however Otto Frederick Rohwedder invented sliced bread in 1912. He is more famous because there are no records of the Egyptians making bread; that was so long ago. Hope I helped! ;)
Otto Frederick Rohwedder in Davenport, Iowa, United States, invented the first single loaf- bread-slicing machine. He built a prototype in 1912 but it was destroyed in a fire and so had to work on it again and in 1928 he at last had a fully working machine ready.
Otto Frederick Rohwedder, an American jeweler and inventor (1880-1960), created the first loaf-at-a-time slicing machine in 1917. It was not completed and marketed until 1927. It sliced and wrapped a loaf of bread. It was improved and patented by baker Gustav Papendick in 1929. In 1930, Wonder Bread began mass-marketing the first national brand. In the late 20th Century, the saying "it's the best thing (idea) since sliced bread" became a cliche.

Sliced Bread.
In 1928, the first electric bread slicer was invented by Otto Frederick Rohwedder. The initial cost of these machines was around $1,500, which was quite expensive at the time. However, the efficiency and time-saving benefits of the bread slicer quickly made it a popular investment for bakeries and households alike.
