The best time to clean a fish tank is time that is available to you every week for maintenance.
It's a good idea to set aside time one day each week (preferably the same day so you never forget) to do at least a 50% water change, and to clean any debris or waste from the tank.
To clean it
once or twice a week
you should be at least 20% of the water each time you clean it and you should do alittle more each time
Any time you plan to put rocks of any type in your tank, make sure that you clean them very well until the water runs clear; if you do not clean them properly, you could introduce illness to your tank.
They need to ALWAYS be in there tank with special chemicals :)
1 time a week to 1 time every 2 weeks
Once to twice a week if you have no filter or if you don't but any conditioners. If you do have a conditioner or filter follow its instructions.
No They are really a helpful fish in you tank most of the time they eat any grow algae growing your fish tank they add wonderful color into your tank and they are very active and have hundreds of live babies
If you care about your fish, it is best not to take that chance. When the oxygen in the tank is depleted, they will die just as you would if you were locked in an airtight room.
Well, you dont have to put anything inside daily just put a little bit of Tap Water Conditioner every time you wash the fish tank with tap water. If its a big fish tank do wash it every week and if its small wash it every three days.
The general rule is that one should change around 25% of the water at a time, thus all you need do is leave your fish in the tank and siphon out 25% of the water, and then replace with dechlorinated water of the same temperature. If you are cleaning a bowl, then it is more common to clean the entire bowl; in that case the fish maybe be placed in a bucket or cup.
It is best left untouched for a couple of weeks, during this time water (same temperature as the water inside the tank) can be added to the tank in order to dilute the waste substances. The movement of water inside the tank should be very low as it can break the bubble nest. after eggs are laid, the male betta (parent) should be the only fish in the tank and after two to three days, he should also be removed from the tank in order for the fry to develop. Otherwise the fry (baby fish) get eaten.
