I have collected for about 30 years, that is not an original lid. I have about 27 different sizes and shapes of Jumbo Peanut Butter Jars, I have a couple I can't find listed anywhere. One is the fishbowl shape with Pat.# 86713, normally the # is 86712. my jar is smaller diameter but thicker from front to back than other 2 LB jars of this shape. I also have 2 1 LB jars with JUMBO spelled JUBMO on the bottom of the jar.

i have been trying to find out the same answer. Rocky from jax fl here: I found one on e-bay going for $20.00 and another at an auction site for $30.00. I also found the 1st series was made starting Feb 20,th 1930. through a friend who makes glass and is an expert on older bottles. However there were additional batches made over time, mine however does not have the date on it. hope that helps....c-ya
