As of August 2010, the largest clock has been the one on the Abraj al-Bait Towers near the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

It was deliberately designed to be the world's largest, being six times larger than London's Big Ben and slightly larger than the second-largest clock in Istanbul, Turkey. The design was by a German company, Premier Composite Technology.
