Pasta with red sauce and parmesan cheese. The parmesan cheese is not very healthy. The red sauce mixed with the cheese would help cut the fat with more healthy ingredients.
That would depend on the type of pasta you use, but more specifically also on the type of sauce you eat with the pasta. Wholewheat pastas and pasta made with the addition of vegetables like spinach is better than just plain white pasta. Also, pasta made from spelt or millet flour is also healthier. And then in terms of the sauce you eat with pasta, vegetable-based sauces and low-fat sauces is going to be healthier than meat-based or sauces with lots of cream and added fat.
Make sure your pasta sauce is thick and the pasta is well drained. A good restaurant trick is to put several ladles of sauce into a large skillet and add just enough pasta for two people at a time. Heat sauce and pasta together shaking pan well to thoroughly coat the pasta.
Do you mean what other food goes well with pasta? Pasta can be dressed as simply as just tossing it with olive oil. Or you can toss it with oil or butter, pepper, fresh herbs, grated cheese (Parmesan is the classic pasta cheese) and so on. Pasta tossed with beaten eggs and grated cheese is the traditional pasta carbonara, while pasta tossed with butter and cheese is what is known outside Italy as pasta all'Alfredo.Pasta may be served with many sauces, and the style of pasta used depends on the texture of the sauce. So fettucine or spaghetti could be tossed with crushed and sieved tomatoes (passata), while a short style pasta such as spirals might go better with a chunky casserole-type sauce.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------plain past tastes amazing with cheese just put some cheese on top of hot pasta it will melt and you have a perfect past meal its great with kids!
Yes, pasta can be baked in a sauce that is not specifically for baking pasta, in fact it can be baked in any creamy or tomato based sauce, it just depends on what flavour and texture you want. Be careful that a dryer sauce does not burn or dry out too quickly.
You haven't said if that is just pasta, or including sauce. I would say 2 people if pasta and sauce.
You can use any kind of tomato sauce, or even any kind of sauce. Look them up in a cookbook. Nigella has some good recipes (not just pasta!) Really any kind of tomato sauce. Personally, as a student studying to get my degree in culinary, I honestly would use ones with flavor to them. Like herbs, cheese, vegetables. Or you can get a recipe to make your own sauce and add what you want in it.
If you don't have any pesto in your kitchen- a sauce made with pine nuts, basil leaves, cheese olive oil and garlic for those of you who haven't heard of it, traditionally served with pasta. Only pointing this out because till recently I had no idea what it was!- You could use pasta bake sauce? bolognas? Just some ideas.
Well there are a couple possible reasons. Firstly, you may not have drained the pasta completely, so the water may still be trapped with it and is mixing with the pasta sauce. If this is the case, tossing the pasta when it is in the colander or getting a colander with more/finer holes might help. Or maybe what you're observing is just the pasta sauce changing in consistency because it is warm.
Not if you are watching fat content. Goat cheese has a higher fat content than cheese from cows. However, goat's cheese has some nutrients that are little more or more readily available (plus it does not contain lactose) which might make it a more healthier choice than cheese from cows. But that isn't to say that goats milk is still healthier than cow's milk cheese, because both are just as healthy as the other. It's just a matter of opinion as to which you think is best.
no it wasn't, just like pasta, vegetables and cottage cheese!
yes it works well. I love pasta and always test it with other things and this works well. personally I use 1 table spoon of tabasco sauce per 150g of pasta but that's just me. basically yes it works.
