A number of new gluten free diet books have a section featuring quinoa. Some of these books include '4 Ingredients Gluten Free', 'Easy Gluten' and 'Your Wheat Free Gluten Diet Plan'.
Some good starch substitutes for wheat are quinoa, rice and potatoes. There are several cook books avaialable that have entirely gluten-free recipes, and most groceries have gluten-free products in their natural foods section.
There is - in the UK, look out for "Doves farm" brand gluten free flour. (Same shelf as regular flour in the supermarket). It is a mixture of (various types of) gluten free flours (rice, soy, quinoa etc...), designed to be used in recipes in the place of normal flour. In specific gluten free recipe books, "rice flour" is usually used instead of a mixed "gluten free" flour.
The local library has many books that can be checked out if one has a library card. The children's section has many illustrated Thomas the Tank Engine books featuring pictures of Thomas.
There are many books that are well known for featuring stories about the woodlands. This includes The Woodlands and Texas. There are many other books that can be found in the library.
