the history of beer traces back to at least the Egyptians. While we do not have the reason for its invention, we can surmise that it was a solution to stagnant water. We know that in the days of the explorers and sailing ships, what water they brought with them was consumed in the first couple days out of port. Afterward, the primary beverage was beer because it is easier to keep potable (it does not spoil).

According to Sarah Bernier, beer was invented to cool off in hot weather. For example: Many beers can be consumed at a HOT Motley Crue concert to combat the heat.

The birth of Christ is irrelevant to the said "invention" of alcohol. While Jesus is often associated with wine as the blood of Christ, Jesus himself did not have a direct impact on the discovery of alcohol which occurred before he was human-born on earth.
