Why do oats send horses crazy?

They don't go crazy, they just enjoy them because of the flavor and the texture. Oats are used as treats they are not usually in a horses balanced diet. Hay, grass, and grain are the most common foods for a horse, and water of course is always good. You should reward a horse if not often then every once in a while for what they do right, and oats are a good choice.
