Why do you get mucus after eating chocolate?

I get a sore throat from eating chocolates too. i have been told it is an allergy, but i refuse to agree as i LOVE chocolate. I don't know why i get it, but just in case it is an allergy, i think i will be paying a visit to my doctors.

To HELP a sore throat after eating chocolate, i do the following...

• Drink LOTS of water
• Gargle some warm salty water - this really helps for a few minutes
• Make sure i eat lots of Vitamin C
• If it gets really bad, i take a soother or throat lozenge.

If you don't feel good after eating chocolate, this can be a sign of sugar sensitivity. Other causes can be an allergy to the milk in Milk Chocolate or over eating.
