because you want to or else you wouldn't drink so much

Morals are a taught conditioning by society. "Don't eat your neighbor" isn't exactly something that your mother said, but is part of the moral code that we teach our children. Morals are a code that enables us to live peaceably with our neighbors and prevents harm to our societal group When we drink alcohol, the normal inhibitions that we are conditioned with are short circuited by the drink.

In this state, we think that such "responsible" inhibitions are not especially useful, so we abandon them for that time. Such things as sexual morality and responsibility become secondary to the primal urges in the state of inebriation. Think of it this way, a baby has no moral code and when we are drunk, we become infantile for a time. The alcohol removes caution and the morals go with it.
