Imagine a very short food chain
Species A eats species B, and species B eats species C
If species B becomes extinct, then species A loses a source of its food, and its survival may become threatened; and species C loses its predator and its population may grow to become a plague to its environment.
It can mess up the food chain for the other organisms in it.
Bad for food chain
A meteorite impact that caused plants to cease production of pollen, meaning that flowering plants had shut down, causing a chain reaction up the food chain that eventually led to the extinction of the T-Rex.
it would mess up the food chain and make every thing go wrong. :) :D :O
It messes' up the whole food chain or web. It could lead to extinction, and that could hurt all organisms,
If an animal dies out it could mess up its food chain, which could lead to over populations and under populations.
well genetically engineering might produce Eco systematic problems and mess up the way things work naturally. for example giving one animal an advantage over the animal that normally preys on it could screw up the food chain and force extinction of the predator
the one below it will die because it will have nothing to keep its population down and then it will eat up all its food so it and its food dies and then humans will because the world has ran out of food.
Producers make up the first part of the food chain.
Producers make up the first part of the food chain.
Food
Energy decreases as we go up the food chain because there are less organisms as we go up, so that the ecosystem doesn't run out of food at the bottom of the chain.
