First think of your digestive tract like a garden hose, if it worked like that you would get no nutrition.

In the real world there are things happening like chewing and saliva.

Saliva is a digestive juice almost as potent as stomach acid, it breaks down the food you chew prior to entering your stomach.

Your stomach pummels the food with digestive juices before it is allowed to enter the intestines.

Fluids are easily absorbed from your mouth as well as your entire digestive tract by capillary actions (you can get drunk from a alcohol enema).

Well this is my simple minded Idea of kinda what takes place.

What is the process in which hazardous materials travel through body tissues until they reach the bloodstream?

Unfortunately there are different ways that each different types of material does this and as there are many different types of hazardous materials, I don't have space here to list them. However here are a few:mercury vapor - inhaled to lungs and absorbed into the blood theremercury liquid - usually does not enter blood to detectable levelsradon gas - inhaled to lungs and decays to solid elements, deposits in lungs and does not enter bloodpesticides - generally absorbed through the skin then into the bloodgasoline, kerosene, etc. - generally not absorbed into blood, the hazard here is mostly firecarbon monoxide - inhaled to lungs and absorbed into the blood theresulphuric acid, nitric acid, lye, etc. - chemically burns tissues, does not get a chance to enter bloodcyanide - can enter body by many ways; inhalation, ingestion, skin contactmustard gas - blisters any tissue it contacts (e.g. skin, lungs, nose and throat, genitals) and usually does not enter blood to significant levelsnerve gasses - see pesticidesetc.

Is blood in your veins blue until it comes out of your body and hits oxygen?

No, blood is never blue. Blood appears blue in veins due to how light is absorbed and reflected, not because of its color. Once it comes in contact with oxygen, it appears red because of the presence of hemoglobin.

Why does food not enter the body until it is abdorbed into the blood?

Food needs to be broken down into its smaller components (nutrients) through the process of digestion before it can be absorbed into the bloodstream. These nutrients are then transported to different parts of the body to provide energy and support various bodily functions. Absorption occurs in the small intestine, where nutrients are absorbed through the intestinal lining into the blood vessels.

What step in the digestive process represents a chemical change in food?

How do waves get absorbed?

Waves can be absorbed when their energy is transferred to the medium they are traveling through. This transfer of energy causes the amplitude of the wave to decrease until it eventually diminishes. The absorbed energy can then be converted into other forms, like heat or sound.
