Melting is a phase change, which is entirely controlled by temperature (pressure is also relevant but under normal circumstances, air pressure is approximately constant). Curdling is a chemical change. The process that leads to a particular chemical is much more complicated than a change in temperature.
Melting is a reversible change of state, whereas a chemical change is irreversible.
Coffee dissolving, water boiling and chocolate melting are reversible physical transformations whereas wood burning is a chemical combustive transformation.
chemical change is reversible whereas physical is irreversible e.g a paper after getting burnt cant be converted to paper again this is a physical change
A reversible change is a change you can make, then put back, however a non-reversible change is a change you can make, then it will be stuck like that
They are the result of two or more reactants usually combining. You can identify when a chemical reaction has occured by a change of state being physical e.g. liquid to gas. The product may change in colour, taste, smell, temperature, size etc. You can also tell if it starts to effervest - bubble. There are reversible and irreversible chemical reactions. Reversible is obviously when you can change the effects e.g. you can melt and re-solidify water whereas irreversible you can't e.g. can't turn ash back into wood when burnt. Hope that helps (;
A reversible machine can operate in both directions, allowing for bidirectional movement, while a self-locking machine locks in place once power is removed, preventing unintentional movement. Reversible machines like electric motors can change the direction of rotation, whereas self-locking machines like a screw jack maintain their position without external forces.
Some chemical changes are easily reversible, though most are not. An example of a reversible chemical reaction is as follows: H2O + CO2 <-> H2CO3 When carbon dioxide is run into water under pressure, they react to form carbonic acid (seltzer water), when the pressure is released, the carbon dioxide dissociates with the water and bubbles off into the atmosphere (the seltzer water goes flat). The following reaction is irreversible: CH4 + 3O2 -> CO2 + 2H2O
The definition of a chemical change is when one or more new substances have been made. Also chemical change cannot be reversed by simple physical means e.g. if the change was brought about by heating then cooling the product won't get you the original substances. So boiling water is not a chemical change (as you can re-condense the steam) whereas boiling an egg IS as the protein has been permanently changed (denatured).
Melting is the process when a solid changes into a liquid, whereas Evaporation is the process when a liquid changes into a gaseous state E.G Melting - Ice -> Water Evaporation - Water -> Vapor MELTING- ice-gas no
A primary cell cannot be recharged whereas a secondary cell can be recharged. In a primary cell chemical reaction is irreversible whereas in a secondary cell chemical reaction is reversible. ... A primary cell is light and less expensive whereas a secondary cell is heavy and expensive.
At STP, neon is a gas, so its melting point is low whereas silicon is a solid, so its melting point is high
Fusion melting is the process of turning a solid into a liquid by adding heat. It differs from other forms of melting because fusion melting specifically refers to the transition from a solid to a liquid state, whereas other forms of melting can refer to any phase transition from a solid to a liquid, gas, or plasma.
