Well, if you get two boys they can be very aggresive, sometimes they can even kill each other! And if you get of each different gender, they can mate, but it's not what you think, if you think that 10 little soft babies and parents raising them, you are TOTALLY wrong. Since the female is about to have babies she doesn't want them to get killed by the male, so she bites the head off of the male, and feeds it to her babies, so that the male doesn't eat the babies. This will always happen if the two genders are stuck in the same cage together, and can't get out. But it's way better if you get just one hamster, so no oter hamster can kill it.
