i had same problem i was told to add water conditioner from pet shop it helps remove chlorine from tap water and had aloe vera which helps protect scales. However what is most likely your problem, because goldfish can't survive in chlorine for as long as a week, is that you have your fish in too small of a bowl/tank. Having your fish in to small of a bowl/tank would result in a build up of ammonia (which is produced by your fish eating, pooping, and breathing). This build-up would damage your fish's gills and cause it to die. What could also be your problem is that you don't have enough aeration (if you saw your fish gasping for breath at the surface before it died than you don't have enough aeration.) An easy way to fix this problem is to purchase and air pump, bubble curtain, or an aerator at your local pet shop. One other possible cause for your goldfish's death is that it was just plain out unhealthy. If left untreated usually the fish would die from its ailment within a week- two weeks . Next time you get a goldfish put it in a larger container ( goldfish thrive in tanks of at least ten gallons ) and use an aerator. You should be fine as long as you use a conditioner and have a strong filter.
Most people would keep goldfish in a bowl or tank, filled with water. You can always add scenery such as pebbles plants and castles :D
Simple Common Sense-Make sure you get a Tank for your Goldfish for Godsake, Anyone can and would tell you that much-Where are your Brains-Humans need a Home to live in and Pets also need a Home to live in
Do Goldfish make good Pets to keep? Yes with the right equipment.
If they get hungry enough then they will resort to cannibalism. Meaning, yes the strongest will eat the weakest. I suggest you keep your fish fed!
You are describing unusual behaviour for goldfish. Are you sure you have 'Goldfish' as in (Carassius auratus)?
None. A single goldfish should have a minimum of 75L. You would be better off keeping small tropical freshwater fish.
they keep you from dying they keep you from dying
A fish tank would work...make sure you put water in it.:D
If I could do that, I would be very famous, and very rich.
The cheapest way to keep a goldfish is to keep it in a fish bowl.........as long as the bowl is big enough the fish will be happy there.
Well it actually means nothing
it will live
