what are you doing with lettuce and snails? and no they will be fine
snails need calcium because they use it to repair and grow there shell. common foods are cucumber or lettuce that have calcium
You don't need to use anything other than lettuce. Float a lettuce leaf in the aquarium overnight, and in the morning it will be covered with snails. Then, take it out and throw it away. Do this until there are no more snails.
you just need to shut up about it
In the aquarium were water, weed, sunfish, snails, and a neon fish.
Once you have snails infesting your fish tank you will find it very difficult to get rid of them. They seem to live no matter how hard you try to kill them.
Snails live on a tank and no you don't have to feed it.it eats of algae
slugs need rocks, branches, moss, soil and gravel.(fish gravel will do)
Snails are small inverts and do not need to eat much. They are scavengers and will eat algae, and any other small things they can find your fish tank. Snails are a great edition to any tank and the need little if any care! You can supplement their diet with algae wafers, and small pieces of blanched zucchini and lettuce. Very minimally.
Yes, Mosquitos lay there eggs in water and there larva live in water, Fish need water to survive and pond snails can also thrive in water.
Maybe if they're dead! Snails generally just eat... whatever else the fish don't. Snails will make quick work of a dead fish, though.
Plants that are attractive to snails include hostas, marigolds, and lettuce. These plants tend to have tender leaves that snails find tasty. To prevent snail damage, consider planting these species in raised beds or using barriers to protect them.
As long as you put water conditioner in the water (to get rid of chlorine/chloramine, etc.), you can put in any mystery snail (ivory, black, blue, gold), apple snail (many times referred to as Inca snails), and assassin snails. These snails aren't the best algae cleaners, but will clean up a little bit of it. The assassin snails will eat other snails and dead fish, shrimp, etc. and are carnivores, so they won't clean any algae. The mystery and apple snails will eat decaying or dead plant material, but not live ones, and dead fish. Their biggest source of food is leftover fish food and fish waste. They also enjoy the occasional slice of zucchini, cucumber, spinach, or lettuce. The mystery and apple snails reproduce sexually, meaning that you need a male and female snail to make babies. They will lay eggs at the water line or in the hood of your aquarium. They will hatch in about 1-2 weeks. If you don't want hundreds of tiny snails, simply scrape the eggs out.
