If you purchase something, and for no extra cost, you are entered into some sort of drawing, I think most people would not consider that gambling. Normally, gambling (in the casino or horserace sense) is risking money to try to make more money by placing bets on the expected outcome of some event. That's not quite the same as being entered into a free drawing.
