A mega fuse is a type of high-current fuse commonly used in automotive and industrial applications to protect electrical circuits from overcurrent conditions. It is designed to handle large amounts of current, typically ranging from 60 to 400 amps, making it suitable for high-power systems like battery connections and main power distribution. When excessive current flows through the fuse, it melts the internal element, breaking the circuit and preventing damage to wiring and connected components. Mega fuses are often housed in durable cases for added protection and ease of installation.
