yes they are, there is Pokemon Black edition and Pokemon White edition.
[Update]
Like with past Pokemon RPG games, the new games will be available in two versions upon launch, and then a updated 3rd version is usually available about 2 years later with more features and in some cases, new forms of Pokemon as evident in Pokemon Platinum.
There are 156 pokemon in black so it's probably the same for white.
Yes. Pokemon Black version comes out spring 2011 the same for Pokemon White version.
It doesn't matter because each pokemon game is almost the same but just with different pokemon
To do that you have to import it to another white/black game, start a new game, and reimport it back to your original white
Yes, Pokémon Black and Pokémon White are both pretty much the same thing however there are some differences. Each game only has about 5-7 unique Pokémon. The storyline is very similar except that the legendary Pokémon (Zekrom and Reshiram) are pretty much interchanged.

Pokemon Black Version and Pokemon White Version are the same game, except for the pokemon that are available to catch and for certain areas.
In the Pokemon game, The two have the same ammount of pokemon to catch. My preference is the black Pokemon although it varies to many.
Same place as white forest in Pokemon black... nowhere. Pokemon black has black city, Pokemon white has white forest.
You can get both, but it's easier to stick with one. I really enjoyed Pokemon Black, but Pokemon White is the same thing, except the Pokemon are different during the story line and some of the locations are built differently. You can always trade for the Pokemon White Pokemon that you cannot get in Pokemon Black. Or if you got Pokemon White then you can trade for the Pokemon Black Pokemon. It's easy. I wanted to improve this answer, because really nothing's a big whole change. The story is the same and the trainers are the same, so is their Pokemon. So yeah. I hope this helps you choose your game. Reshiram is in Pokemon Black. Zekrom is in Pokemon White.

NO.......
When you're on the title screen (top screen says Pokemon Black or White, bottom screen has the picture of the legendary), press down select B at the same time.
You start your game and get 1 starter then trade it. Then start the game again and pick a different starter. Do the same until you get all of the starters from Pokemon black and white.
