This is a common misunderstanding. The 36 weeks date is probably the time since your LMP (last menstrual period). The 33 week age is the age of your foetus by ultrasound. The difference is that you would have conceived about 2-and-a-half weeks AFTER your last period. So it HAS been 36 weeks since your last period, but the baby has only been growing for the last 33 weeks or so.
