Jonathon Harker's wife's name was Wilhelmina, but she is referred to throughout the story as Mina. Her maiden name was Murray. Jonathon Harker wasn't a professor.
Dracula was first written about in 1897 by Bram Stoker. He is the one that started it all. Although Dracula is a work of fiction it does contain some historical references. However, it must be noted that 25 years prior to Bram Stoker's Dracula a Gothic Novella was published by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu in 1872. It tells the story of a young woman's susceptibilaty to the attentions of a female vampire "Carmilla". As stated, "Carmilla" (also the title) predates Bram Stoker, however, it is about a female "vampire" and not specifically "Dracula" himself. The legend (as most of us know it today) was originated from Bram Stokers 1897 Novel.
The first director in the first Dracula movie was F.W. Murau. The film was released in 1922.
Bela Lugosi in Dracula (1931) Although Max Schreck was the first actor to play Dracula in Nosferatu (1922)
In Van Helsing, Count Dracula was played by Richard Roxburgh.
The movie Van Helsing gives us a struggle between Van Helsing, the fearless vampire killer, and count Dracula, the vampire; this is a much more elaborate version of the story told originally by Bram Stoker in his famous novel Dracula. In this movie werewolves and the Frankenstein monster also get involved. It is almost a summation of all the monster movies of the 1950's (except that there is no mummy).
In 1897, Archibald Constable & Co. published the hardback version of the novel "Dracula" by the Irish author, Bram Stoker.
Assuming you mean specifically Count Dracula and not just any vampire: maybe "Bram Stokers's Dracula" (1992). Directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Stars Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder, Anthony Hopkins, Keanu Reeves, Cary Elwes, Billy Campbell. Of course any of the Hammer Horror Dracula movies of the 1950's & 60's are very entertaining. Hammer was the first to do Dracula in color. Peter Cushing played Van Helsing and Christopher Lee played Count Dracula.
Harker means Deer Marsh in latin(Har-Deer, Ker-Marsh, or swamp), Harkers belong to the Celtic Tribe Carvetii(Deer people), and The Carlsle Tartan is our kilt color but the Bruce kilt we may wear too. Harker is a town in North England on Hadrians wall in western Cumbria. The Romans named us when they were fighting us.Harkers first got to the U.S. as a movemet to travel to the Utah territories seeking religious freedom from the Latter Day Saint(Mormon) persecution. I am a Harker so I know. Harkers from Germany are not Celtic its just a copy of the name. All Celtic Harkers come from Harker, Cumbria. I should note though Harkers once were Druids Harkers, all Harkers are or should be Christian no matter the sect of Christianity.
