You go through Stark Mt. with Buck, after you beat the Elite 4, and then go to the Survival Area and find Buck and your rival in front of one of the buildings and Buck will invite you inside. Go in and you will see a couple of the Gym Leaders and in the corner, watching TV, will be one of the people that you explored with, like Riley or Marley.
