If you enter a Disney park and then leave (to go to your car, or hotel, or the IHOP across the street, or whatever) and want to come back in again, you will probably need to show both the pass and the hand stamp you should have gotten when you left the park.
In other words: don't forget to get your hand stamped when you leave the park, and don't think you can get your buddy in on your pass, because he won't have the right hand stamp.

Adventure Island is not free. You have to buy Disneyland park hopper tickets, then it free. If you buy Disneyland tickets you can only choose one theme park and stay there for the rest of the day.
There is no "fee", because Disneyland no longer offers discounted tickets to annual passholders on blackout days. If you want to get in, you would have to buy a one-day ticket at the regular price.

"You can find valuable Disneyland coupons at GroupOn, RetailMeNot, MouseSavers, GoCalifornia, and DisneyCoupons. For more discounts, contact Disneyland directly and ask about special offers like saving up to $450 on a 4-night/3-day package, or getting an extra day free if you stay at the Good Neighbor Hotel with a family of four. Disneyland also offers special 3-day Park Hopper tickets for $199 or savings of up to $40 per ticket, and one Magic Morning early entry admission, with purchase of the Park Hopper Bonus ticket."
Yes. Disney's California Adventure is just across the way from Disneyland. There is a plaza between the two, but standing in line for one you can clearly see the other. However, a ticket for Disneyland won't get you into Disney's California Adventure on the same day without a ParkHopper option.
Don't buy single tickets. An all-day ticket is often cheaper than two singles even for one 2-way trip.
