in order to teach any Pokemon an hm move you need to trade it to game that has hm moves in like firered or leafgreen. to trade you need to beat Pokemon xd and then go to phenac city and go to the Pokemon center and head downstairs this is the trade area but you need a GBA to GCN cable.
