Well if you've ever read the book you would know that there was A LOT left out in the movie. Like the St. Louis Arch exploding, them going to the Hoover Dam, Groover isn't supposed to get his horns until a few books/movies later, the main characters are supposed to be 12, and they left out a somewhat important character.
