He very cleverly saved James Stanger from being murdered. He was a kind-hearted person with regard to Ettie. This also shows that he was clever as he got the scowrers to jail in such a clever way that nobody got it until the end. The biggest thing is that he worked in the group of scowrers and was able to get them to jail. Besides the fact that he was good at trickery, this Mc Murdo was loyal, clever, brave, and independent.

Ettie was helpful and hardworking as she was helping her father by doing laundry and cutting vegetables.

She was affectionate because she said to McMurdo that I cannot live without you.

Ettie has an elegant personality because she is not bossy like Baldwin and other scowrers.

she is a girl and knows how to protect herself and stay away from bad guys. she is lovely. she is confused that she herself can't understand what to do. well she kind of looked calm on the outside but in fact, she is terrified on the inside because she gets threatened all the time. well as we go deeper we found out that 2 men's loved her and both were scorers. one is Baldwin while the other is McMurdo.

She is kind of scared of her father because her father doesn't allow her to hang out with scorers. she is worried for her father. she once said "I must get home, Father will be wondering where I am ". She wants nobody to worry about her. She is polite and is a polite character who is very obedient. she always listens to her father and admiringly loves him.
