only on 2 occations. if your the avatar or if your parents are diffrant benders. for example if ang marries katara the baby could bend water and air

umm wrong! If your parents both bend different elements, then the only thing that would happen is you might have a sibling that can bend a different element. Only the Avatar can bend more than one element.

If bending was all about heritage, then a Water-Firebender would just have to have kids with an Earth-Airbender to create an "Avatar", which would only happen in as little as 2 generations.

Instead, you can only bend one element max.

Aang and Katara had 3 children, a waterbender, a nonbender, and an airbender.

Tenzin is the first airbender to have a nonbender sibling. So having two bender parents doesn't even guarantee a bender child. Or else Aang and Katara would have never had a nonbender son.

Well i believe that anything is possible..... the person that made this show just discover it. Just believe its true then it will become possible. You just have to work on it and study what the moves are and how to control it. For example if your in a pool and you push the water it makes a little wave.... that means your water bending!!!You have to practice. I believe anyone can do it. So, show me what u can do!!
