Yes, Harry managed to get the philosopher's stone keeping if safe from Lord Voldemort.

Albus Dumbledore modified the Mirror of Erised and hid the philosopher's stone inside. The mirror could only give the stone to somebody who wanted it, but didn't want to use it. Professor Quirrell wanted the stone for purely selfish reasons and so could not get the mirror to give it to him. Harry however, wanted to keep it safe.

Dumbledore and Nicolas Flamel later destroyed the stone.

It was a spell cast by Albus Dumbledore. Only somebody who just wanted to get the stone, but did not wish to use it, would be able to get it out of the mirror.

why did Harry get the Stone for seeing himself getting it? That was Dumbledore's extra enchantment when he hid the Stone inside it. The Mirror wouldn't have given Harry the Stone, but Dumbledore altered it magically so that it would. It's quite simple.
