Did John Wayne Gacy get the death sentence?

As far as we know from reports and the interviews he gave, there is little evidence that he ever showed any remorse for his crimes. If anything, he showed a lot of contempt for his victims and their families.

John Wayne Gacy, Jr. was not atracted to dead bodies. Instead he tortured young men while they were living. Some 33 bodies were unearthed from the crawlspace in his home and he got the lethal injection.
