There was a skeleton found in Bodrum (Halikarnassos at Mausolus' times), which was believed to be his sister Ada's. The skeleton proved that she gave birth to several children, yet we don't know of any of her children either.
So maybe Mausolus did have children with his wife Artemisia II ( who was his sister, just as Ada was the wife of her brother Idrieus), or with another woman.
I guess we'll never know.
