He was returning a pair of eyeglasses that Nicole's mother had left at Mezzaluna Trattoria, where Goldman worked as a waiter in June 1994.
I am answering this question with the assumption that it is the murder trials you are asking about. No, the fifth amendment was not violated in these cases. The first trial was a criminal trial in which OJ was acquitted (found not guilty) of the murder charges. The second trial was a civil trial in which the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman sued OJ for wrongful death and battery. OJ was unanimously found guilty of wrongful death and battery against Ronald Goldman and battery against Nicole Brown Simpson. He was ordered to pay 33,500,000.00 in damages.
Murdering his ex-wife(Nicole Brown Simpson) and her friend(Ronald Goldman)
In America once you have been tried for a crime and found not guilty you cannot be tried again for the same crime. OJ Simpson was tried for the murders of Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman and found not guilty, so, no he cannot be tried again.
OJ Simpson had several trials. Lets start with the murder trial. Accused of killing his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman OJ was aquitted of both. After the non guilty criminal trial, the Brown and Goldman suied Simpson in civil court for monetary damages caused by the death of their loved ones by Simpson. He wasn't so lucky this time. Different jury, different judge, different hair-do on Marsha Clark. Made a big difference this time. Simson was order to pay the damagaes. Which this leads us to his 3 trial. Trying to confiscate priceless football and sports artifacts that were in someone else's possession, at the end of a gun I might add, Simpson was caught redhanded. So he now sits in prison is Nevada, hopefully reflecting on some personal improvement. Footnote:Marsha Clark did have a new 'do' but she was not prosecuting at the civil trial. Civil and Criminal are separate courts.

The actual reason for the late night visit was quite innocent. Nichole and family members had dined at the restaurant where Ron Goldman was a waiter. Nichole's mother left a pair of glasses at the table and Goldman volunteered to bring the glasses back to Nichole's Brentwood condo. Goldman and Nichole were in the first stages of a romance so he knew where she lived. I often wonder had Mrs. Brown not forgotten her glasses if Ron would not have been murdered.
Robert Kardashian. He was one of the attorneys for OJ Simpson when he was on trial for the murder of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. Mr. Kardashian is now deceased. I believe from cancer.
Nicole Brown is famous for being the ex-wife of former football player O.J. Simpson. She was killed in her house, along with Ron Goldman, on June 12th, 1994.
