No, Will Smith never said to be a Scientologist.

In 2007 Access Hollywood interviewed Will Smith about Scientology.

This was Will Smith's response:

"I was introduced to Scientology by Tom (Cruise), and I'm a student of world religions. I was raised in a Baptist household, I went into a Catholic school.. but the ideas of The Bible are.. 98% the ideas of Scientology, 98% the same ideas than Induism. When I speak and I talk with Tom Cruise, he is one of the greatest spirits that I have ever met. He is committed into making the world better. You have people who want to fight and are attacking but know nothing. How can you know nothing about Scientology, but attack somebody? It's ignorant."
