Short answer. No.
Long Answer. Atoms are much smaller than the visible light wave lengths. There are created images based off certain techniques, but no direct images of an atom.
He did not ever kill anyone.

Ernest Rutherford was the man you are thinking of. He was the first person to 'split the atom'.
I definitely did.
No nobody has ever seen an atom or atoms, though many people/scientists claim they have, NOBODY HAS EVER SEEN AN ATOM!
no ... no one ever was able to see an atom , but one guy once saw its shadow by mistake , and that was actually the way atoms were discovered hope i helped ^^
yes , in their imaginations.

Nobody can ever see an atom with the naked eye. Nowadays, there may be software or something to see an atom or compound in 3D. But most of this visualizing an atom, or molecule, or compound, is mostly done in our head. So basically you could say we "imagine" it, or basically visualize a 3D model of the atom in our head (so 3D thinking).
Anyone can go to ImDb.com and see actor's resumes!
No one has ever seen an atom. Which is not too surprising, when you consider that the shortest wavelength of light that our eyes can detect is more than 1,400 times the covalent radius (the "size") of the largest atom. To see an atom in visible light would be like trying to feel the outline of a mosquito by brushing it with a feeler the size of a person.
HASSAN SAJJAD A GREAT MUSLIM SCIENTIST was able to see atom for first time ever although he didnt knew about it he named it as *rasheed*
