Yes, he loved her when he first met her as a child and he loved her until the day she died. Ultimately, his eternal devotion to Lily took up his bravery, and he became Dumbledore's spy and a key player in the war. He did it all to protect her son, Harry, as to make sure her sacrifice was not in vain. So deep was his love for her, that his patronus became a doe, the same as hers. When Harry learned the truth, he made sure that Snape's sacrifice be known, even fighting to have his portrait set up in the headmaster's office, and had named one of his children after him. Ironically, that son, named Albus Severus Potter, was the only one to inherit Harry's emerald green eyes; the same eyes as Lily's, and the same eyes that Severus looked into before he succumbed to death.

Of course she did, she was his mother. She gave her life for him. When Voldemort went into Harry's bedroom she stood in front of the crib and told him to kill her instead.
