Several comic books have pitted these two warriors against each other before. Each time, there really is no victor, though. In the Ultimate Hulk vs Wolverine comics, nobody wins, but Hulk tears Wolverine in half at the end. The original fight has no winner, and in the movie Hulk vs Wolverine, again nobody wins. Wolverine almost kills Hulk, but is knocked unconscious by several poision darts fired by Deadpool. At the end of the movie they leap at each other, but it ends, and after the credits Hulk is shown running away, which can be interpreted in many ways. Nobody has officially won. But in a new "What If" comic, Wolverine stabs Hulk in the heart, and leaves him for dead. Although rather cheap, the Hulk heals and attacks Wolverine from behind and rips his spinal cord, thus killing Wolverine. But that was in "an alternate dimmension just to show how it would affect other characters if that were to happen". So again nobody has ever officially won, but I think Wolverine would kick Hulk's a** if they fought to the death.

I am not sided for either one but they do have encounters, wolverine is very scrappy. Normally he finds the hulk and when hulk sees him it triggers memories of wolverine. Hulk becomes enraged and starts thrashing wolverine, the hulk eventually turns back to Bruce banner and they go there separate ways, but if they did have an intense battle to the death- Wolverine would surely win.
How were The Avengers brought together?

The Hulk and Wolverine kept on fighting, with the Hulk emerging victorious and Hulk abandoned the unconscious Wolverine, unaware of his healing factor. The defeated Wolverine returned to Department H. Still slated to take leadership of Alpha Flight, Wolverine spent weeks completing some espionage missions, even when various factors made him increasingly troubled by his service to Department H.
