Daniel Radcliffe [Harry Potter] did enjoy the books. I don't think he'd try out for the film if he didn't like the books. However, Tom Felton [Draco Malfoy] had never read the books. He lied about it in first auditions though.

∙ 14y agoNo. JK Rowling did not have any idea that the Harry Potter series would be made into a movie, and did not meet Daniel Radcliffe until they were choosing the actor to play Harry.

In the movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1,Daniel Radcliffe who played Harry danced with Emma Watson, who played Hermione. This scene was only in the movie and according to the script writer Steve Kloves, it was added in because he liked the idea and because he felt Harry would try to cheer Hermione up after Ron left.
