I believe the Kaleidoscope/Pepperwood apts off Walnut between Ball and Cerritos are the closest. I lived there for a year and it was so nice to just walk across the street and be in Downtown Disney. Some nights my roommates and I would just walk to Disneyland go on Space Mountain and come home. The fireworks were loud but I got used to them...

Fireworks are at 10 pm every Friday, Sunday and on both Canadian and American Holidays during the season. During the off-season (November - January) there are also fireworks. But, the times and days are not announced until the Festival of Lights celebration.

They will really enjoy the fireworks show. It is very different than all the other Disney Parks' fireworks. Their fireworks are very special, and it goes along with the music, too. It's worth it!
