Well, isn't that a happy little question! Lyle Zapato is actually a fictional character created by an artist known for their quirky and imaginative work. It's wonderful to see your curiosity about this, and remember, creativity can take many forms, whether it's through art, storytelling, or simply asking questions.
Its actually "Zapato", without the pi. Anyway, he's the guy who made up the "Tree Octopus" and "Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanie" theories.

The Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus was an internet hoax created in 1998 by Lyle Zapato.
To let people know that not everything on the web is true, plus he has ALOT of free time.
Its actually "Zapato", without the pi. Anyway, he's the guy who made up the "Tree Octopus" and "Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanie" theories.
Oh, dude, Lyle Zapato made the fake website about the tree octopus because he clearly had a deep passion for spreading awareness about the endangered species of the Pacific Northwest. Or maybe he just really wanted to mess with people's heads and see how gullible they could be. Who knows, man, the internet is a weird place.
He is very dumb enough to make a fake website, and the pictures looked like they were all stuffed animals or photo shopped. I think that Lyle just wanted to get the money from people, and the poeple thinking that they are saving the speices of the tree octopus. This website is really silly; he shouldnt have made that just to make money. HE COULD JUST GET A JOB, to get money.

He hasn't been doing much of anything. Pat tried getting him to write with him for a new Pat Metheny Group recording... but Lyle didn't want to. Sucks. So Pat jumped into this Unity Group thing.... making it sound like it was his first choice. Lyle has SUCH a gift.
