When Peeta get hijacked by the capitol he loses his memory and now he only has bad memories of Katniss and tries to strangle her. The doctors try to unhijack him by putting good memories of Katniss back in his mind. Soon he comes back from the Doctors to District twelve. He and Katniss grow back together and at the end when they are in bed Peeta wispers "You love me real or not real" Katniss says real. They get married and have two children together.
But Peeta has always loved Katniss.
