well, there are a lot of different answers to this question because people have different ideas who Ash loves.
There were a lot of hints that Misty liked Ash, but Ash carries very few showing he shows barely any feeling towards the her, however with pearlshipping (AshXDawn), both point of views are carried out equally, showing they have more in common and are equally loyal to the other, making the friendship stronger and more supportive.
Only problem is that Ash is like 4 years older then Dawn because at the start of the Hoen series it says 3 years have past so that makes Ash 13 so by the end of the Hoen he would be 14 so It wouldn't work out in Age.

For the first answer up there: Actually, Ash showed more hints to liking Misty than any other girl. He only ever got jealous over Misty, and nobody else. And I agree with the part that Dawn and Ash having a strong friendship, and that's it. But relationship wise, I personally think Ash likes Misty.

May quickly took a great liking in Ash when she realized Ash was a kind Trainer who cared for all his Pokemon including his very first one.
