it has changed through media and technology!
In the book The Hound of the Baskervilles the character Sherlock Holmes did not change at all.I just read the book.
It would change it a lot, because Watson is the main person there for most of the story. He writes letters to Sherlock, but he is on site, observing and reporting. It would be a totally different story, and the partnership parts would be lost. You might still be able to bring it off by turning it into a diary that Sherlock writes for his own satisfaction, but with Sherlock as the main character, much of the room for doubt and the questioning at the beginning would seem somewhat out of character.
It's a secret!
Moi? Non, non, MY Pokemon character did not change genders. Your game, however, may have a glitch. P.S. Does anybody know how to change trainer genders on Platinum? I have the code, but...
No there is no such action replay code.

A static character remains consistent and does not undergo significant change throughout a story. Examples include Atticus Finch in "To Kill a Mockingbird," Sherlock Holmes in the detective stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, and Gandalf in "The Lord of the Rings."
