You should:

  • Be polite (No "Shut up!)
  • Avoid fallacious arguments (Everyone knows, The Bible says, My grandfather told me, etc.)
  • Have actual facts not pseudo facts (It's a cold day so global warming is false)
  • Avoid emotional responses (That's an insult! You are just like Hitler!)
  • Accept the other argument id it is more credible than yours (Wow, you really do have a unicrn in your pocket!)
