Darth Vader got burned in a fight with Obi-Wan Kenobi in the third episode. Obi-Wan sliced Vader causing him to fall near the lava, catching a piece of his clothing on fire burning nearly his whole body.

∙ 15y agoWARNING: MAY CONTAIN MOVIE SPOILERS!!! In Star Wars: Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith, Anikin Skywalker (Darth Vader) faces Obi-Wan Kenobi in a lightsaber dual on the volcanic planet Mustafar. After losing both of his legs and one of his arms, Vader fell to the ground, just a foot away from a river of lava. The massive amount of heat radiating from the lava caused his jedi robes to ignite. Once this occurred, his entire body (or what was left of it anyway) was engulfed in flames.
