The three greatest changes I can attribute to her reign were (1) it had to be acknowledged that a woman had extraordinary capabilities to govern a country superbly, (2) her expansion of the British navy was one that saved her nation against the Spanish armada, and (3) she brought in all sorts of scientists and artists (including writers) that broadened the horizons of the English immeasurably.

Her goal was to refrain from the extreme Protestantism as seen during Edward's reign or the rigid Catholicism of Mary's. Elizabeth thought a middle ground, expanding the Church's ideologies to include the majority of her subjects. With the creation of the New Prayer Book, diverse spiritual needs were met.
