Ellie was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer on July 2nd, 2008 when she was six years old. She battled for about a year and inspired all when she entered remission. Sadly, she relapsed just 3 short months later. Her lung tumors continued to grow. In June 2010, Ellie's hip tumor burst and the cancer became visible. Ellie passed away in her mums arms on June 23rd, 2010 at 11:35am. She was just eight years old.
