Fiona was originally on Sonic's side in the comics, she was captured by Dr.Robotnik and had a robot doppelgänger of herself created, the doppelgänger tried to drown Miles 'Tails' Prower by making him believe she was the real Fiona and that she loved him but rusted in the water and broke down. The real Fiona was later sent to jail, being abandoned by Sonic she changed, feeling betrayed by him. Later the Destructix (I think) broke her out of jail, she didn't trust them to start but soon did, when she met Scourge she decided to join him and became evil as she liked him.
