I think in Disney Channel. Hannah Montana. Miley Cyrus's father is Billy Ray Cyrus. She would preform onstage with him and appear on TV with him. She was known but not intirely famous. When she auditioned for Hannah Montana, she was picked for the role after a lot of attempts.
Miley Cyrus auditioned for Hannah Montana .they told her no. that's when billy ray Cyrus threatened them that's why what ever she does they cant fire her

She was initially inspired by her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, after watching him work on Doc in 2001. She then saw a production of Mamma Mia! and decided there and then that she wanted to become an actress. She was subsequently enrolled in singing and acting lessons at the Armstrong Acting Studio in Toronto, and got her first role as a girl called Kylie in Doc. In 2003, she was credited as Destiny Hope Cyrus (her birth name) in Tim Burton's Big Fish. Shortly after, she legally changed her name to Miley Ray Cyrus in honour of her beloved late grandfather, Ronald Ray Cyrus.
Her rise to stardom came after landing the role of Chloe Stewart in the Walt Disney children's TV show, Hannah Montana. The producers liked her so much they renamed the lead character after her.
While her father obviously had a lot of influence within the business, much of her success was down to sheer hard work and determination. Connections are meaningless if you haven't got the chops.

Billy Ray Cyrus got the role of the father first, so they "THOUGHT" it would be a better idea to have a true "father, daughter" show. Of course, he came up with the idea & paid the director to follow through with it.
