∙ 11y agoIt is the story of a girl named Katniss Everdeen that is taken to the Capitol of the country Panem to compete in The Hunger Games, a fight to the death between a boy and a girl from each of the 12 districts, making 24 children between the ages of 12 and 18. Her and her fellow tribute, Peeta Mellark (a bakers son), go through the hungers games playing an angle portraying them as star-crossed lovers. At the end, they are the last two standing, and only one can live. When Katniss pulls out a hand full of poisonous berries for her and Peeta, the Gamemakers allow both of them to live. Then their mentor Haymitch Abernathy tells them that the Capitol is mad at them because they outsmarted the Capitol. I think it is the BEST BOOK EVER!
