How did Tom Marvolo Riddle become Lord Voldemort?

He just changed himself so much throughout his life, from his education at Hogwarts and discovering he was related to Salazar Slytherin, and all of his misdeeds...especially creating the Horcruxes, which drastically changed his appearance from a handsome boy to a dark and creepy man. He created the name "Lord Voldemort" because his name was so common and he wanted to be separated from all of the other wizards. If you change the letters around in his name "Tom Marvolo Riddle" you will get "I am Lord Voldemort".

The main reason for changing his name was because he didn't want to have his muggle fathers name due to the fact he left his mother who later died giving birth to his resulting in him living in an orphanage for his entire childhood.
